Addressing Problems of Thinking, Feeling and Doing

Winslow Homer - Blown Away

My approach to psychiatric care is to spend time with patient and family, form mutually understood diagnostic thinking to then treating the problems presented.

Treatment is hourly sessions; between session contact as needed, medication is used when indicated (however, there are no short, "med check" sessions).

Problems areas include our most common, human ones:

  • Anxiety,
  • Depression,
  • Behavior difficulties,
  • Unsatisfactory school and life accomplishments,
  • ADHD,
  • Emotional Problems in Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.

In sum: problems of Feeling, Thinking and Doing.
